Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Gets More Relaxed DRM Scheme

Despite allegedly achieving lower piracy rates through use of its often criticized, always-on DRM scheme, publisher Ubisoft has decided not to use it with the upcoming PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations according to an RPS report.
Instead, players will be prompted for a single online activation at first launch, often a standard practice. Afterwards, the title will be accessible offline indefinitely. We wouldn’t get excited yet: Ubisoft has flip-flopped with its DRM approach before, so time will tell if this is a one-off or an actual change of heart.
The PC version of Revelations is due out December 2, two weeks after the console equivalents.
