PSP Overheats In Child’s Pocket
by February 6, 2008 @ 4:04 pm

This morning, at around 9 a.m., a child was burned at Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, when the PSP in his pants pocket overheated and caught on fire.
Shortly following the incident, a teacher managed to separate the device from the boy and the school was placed in lockdown so that personnel could aid the child.
Police are still investigating the cause, but we have heard reports of third-party PSP batteries actually exploding before. In any case, you might want to be extra careful when placing that PSP in your pocket from now on.
