Sega Master System Coming To Wii Virtual Console

As previously rumored, the seventh console to hit the Wii Virtual Console is indeed Sega’s Master System. Released back in 1986, the console was designed as a direct competitor to Nintendo’s NES and was home to classics such as Shinobi and the original Phantasy Star.
The first titles to roll out under the Master System VC label will be Fantasy Zone (500 Wii Points) and Fist Of The North Star (600 Wii Points). Both titles are expected for a February release in Japan.
Now here comes the bad news. There’s been no word on if, or when Master System titles will hit the VC in North America. Expect them to hit eventually though. I bet it’s only a matter of time.
