by Mike Bendel on January 10, 2008 @ 11:17 am

Rumors suggest that Microsoft is planning to launch a takeover bid for Swiss-based company Logitech. Shares in the peripheral-maker have surged this week over speculation in the market that the company would receive a takeover bid valued at 48 francs per share from Microsoft.

If the bid does go through, Microsoft would then in addition to being the world’s largest software firm, become the largest maker of computer peripheral devices worldwide.
