Skype Confirmed For PSP

by Mike Bendel on January 2, 2008 @ 12:11 pm

Following reports of the service being mentioned in firmware code, it looks like the popular voice-over-IP service known as Skype is indeed coming to PSP. Sony’s official CES 2008 page denotes the following:

Call friends, talk trash to fellow gamers or catch up with acquaintances via Skype for PSP system.

No word on when Skype is coming to PSP, but we should hear more on this very anticipated functionality soon.

There's those headphone w/ mic on them.

Chilly Willy says:

The SOCOM headset has been selling almost forever. You can get it at WalMart (when in stock) for $20. It's a nice set of headphones with a microphone that plugs into the remote. Without the remote, the microphone doesn't do anything (you still get audio to the headphones, though).
