Omega Five Gets Release Date
by January 1, 2008 @ 1:37 pm

Touted as a hardcore gamers’ shooter, Xbox 360 title Omega Five hits the Live Arcade on January 9, 2008. Speaking in an interview with 360 Achievements, Husdon’s Amar Gavhane dropped on a few details on this soon-to-be XBLA classic.
Gavhane reveals that the title will feature a bundle of achievements, twelve in all. Additionally, the game is only 50MB in size — rather impressive considering the detailed 3D visuals shown in the screenshot above. Players can expect a bevy of in-game unlockables, including characters Sensei and R.A.D, whom are unlocked by meeting certain prerequisites. There’s also an excruciatingly challenging game mode called “++ Mode.” In this mode players must survive without a life bar. One hit and you’re dead. We don’t need to remind you that this game is geared towards hardcore gamers now, do we?
