Xbox Phantasy Star Online Servers Go Black January 31

Sega has announced that the Xbox version of Phantasy Star Online will go offline on January 31 in Japan. Not for scheduled maintenance or anything of the sort, but because the servers that power the game are being taken offline for an indefinite amount of time.

Though, we can’t imagine too many Japanese gamers will be upset over Sega’s decision to shut down the servers, considering how few own (and still play) the original Xbox over in the Land of the Rising Sun.
