That’s right. In just a little over one year, the Wii has already surpassed the GameCube’s life to date sales in Japan. The news comes courtesy of the latest Media Create hardware sales figures for the week ending December 16. The sales figures list the Wii’s lifetime sales at 4,231,044 units sold, compared to the GameCube’s five year total of 4,179,963 units.
