Pachter: Mass Effect Will Definitely Come To PS3

Prior to the BioWare and Pandemic deal, the prospect of the Mass Effect series staying on Xbox 360 was a pretty safe bet. That is until EA bought them out, which subsequently led to speculation that future installments in the series would appear on both 360 and the PS3. No stranger to speculation, Analyst Michael Pachter recently shared his views on the subject:

Trust me, Electronic Arts, when they threw out the 300 million that is multiplatform that is not 360 only. It [Mass Effect 2] has to [come to PS3], I wouldn’t be shocked if Mass Effect 1 came to PlayStation 3.

Agreed. If EA plans to bring future installments in the series to PS3 (which strongly looks to be the case), then it’s a safe bet that they will have Mass Effect 1 ported over for the sake of completion.
