Reggie: Wii May Get Voice Chat Functionality

Speaking during a conference call today, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said that Nintendo is looking into the possibility of bringing a voice chat peripheral to the Wii.
The Wii certainly has the capability for voice chat, but as Reggie says, it all comes down to finalizing the peripheral. Furthermore, he said that he “would not be surprised at all” if such a capability comes to Wii in the near future.
