Beats Hits US PS Store Tomorrow

by Mike Bendel on December 5, 2007 @ 7:10 pm

Following the release of Syphon Filter: Combat Ops, Beats will hit the North American PlayStation Store tomorrow for the budget price of $5. As the second original downloadable title for PSP, Beats is a rhythm-based music game in which players tap buttons in sync with musically timed icons that glide across the screen.

Although the game comes with a variety of pre-recorded songs, players can even import their own music tracks and let the PSP generate playable “Beats” levels based on them, allowing for endless hours of replayability.

For those living in Europe, Beats is already available for purchase on the EU PlayStation Store.

Ellises says:

I bought the game, but it doesn't run, I guess it's cause my psp has CFW.

x3sphere says:

Should work. Are you running 3.71 M33?

alfie_wrex says:

did you dl it using the software provided on the playstation store site. if not then it wont work, and, as just stated you have to have 3.71 either official or cfw.

chemist says:

How do you know it wont work if he downloaded it off a torrent?

They have something special integrated in it?

Ellises says:

Yeah I bought it off the PSN and then used their downloader.

I go launch the game and it just freezes at the PSP logo.

chimist, yes they do have something special integrated in it, it has advanced security, I think it does the same the Wii does where it only works on the bought.

But the people downloading it via torrents can't play it until a fix comes out for the CFW itself.
