Thompson Faces Disbarment

Jack Thompson, Florida attorney and outspoken video game violence critic, is currently facing disbarment from law practice.

The trial in which The Florida Bar will investigate Thompson’s work ethic in cases involving the video game industry began just yesterday. The embattled attorney’s attempt to block the trial failed last week, following a second failed effort in which Thompson told the Court that he was willing to accept a 90-day suspension of his law license. Desperate much?

According to GamePolitics, this entire week has been set aside for Thompson’s case, with referee Judge Tunis having until December 21 to issue a final ruling, although exceptions to the deadline are possible. Things definitely aren’t looking good for Jack. At all.
