The PS3 That Was Too Dusty To Repair Under Warranty

Recently, you may have heard that a Sony technician refused to replace a certain PlayStation 3 under warranty. Why? Because it was “too dusty.” Sounds silly right? Well SCEA has now released photos of said PS3 (see above).

So, whaddya think? Too dusty to repair? It’s filthy all right. Wouldn’t be surprised if all the dust that accumulated in there caused it to overheat.

looks disgusting. This person shouldn't expect Sony to warranty that. You think that the price he paid for the ps3 he would take better care of it. Im not even surprised that it doesn't work.

I think that guy like used that thing as a giant pillow or lost it in his couch like cmon how do yo get that many fingerprints all over it also I wuldnt be suprised if something was living in it and it is dangerous.

I've worked as a Senior Technician since 1990 and believe me when I get components back for repair I will ALWAYS find dust, unless it's out-of-box failure. Who do they have working at these Sony repair facilities? A bunch of wimps? Put on a damn dust mask and fix the thing already!
