While a sequel to the original XBLA hit Geometry Wars would’ve been a nice treat to go alongside the 5th anniversary of Microsoft’s Xbox Live service, it is simply not happening. Bizarre Creations community and web leader Ben Ward issued this statement in response to Monday’s rumors:

Not true I’m afraid. We are working on more Geometry Wars fun… but you won’t be seeing it next week.

In other GeoWars news, Sierra announced today that the European release date for Wii and DS title Geometry Wars: Galaxies has been pushed to January 18.

No Geometry Wars sequel next week [Xbox Domain]
