Take 2 On GTA IV: It’s Done When It’s Done
by Mike Bendel on November 7, 2007 @ 2:57 pm

We’re nearing closer to the first quarter of 2008, but Take Two is still reluctant to give an exact release date for GTA IV. Why? Game is far from being finished, and T2 is afraid of disappointing investors once more if they can’t stay true to the date. Company chairman Strauss Zelnick explains:
It’s a fair question given that we weren’t able to stick to our firm date the last time. We’re going to give a firm date when we are utterly convinced that we have it and that isn’t right now.
We know it’s highly anticipated. Right now our view is to put out a high quality title and we’re not in the business of disappointing investors.
Furthermore, Zelnick said that he does not expect the exclusive downloadable content for the Xbox 360 version of Gran Theft Auto IV to play a significant role in generating revenue, but is a business model that the publisher is looking towards in the future.
