Rumor: Microsoft Trimming $50 Off Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle
by Mike Bendel on August 25, 2011 @ 11:04 am

A Walmart ad flyer for the week beginning August 28 reveals that Microsoft may have plans to drop the price of the current Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, which comes with 4GB storage, to $249. It’d represent a $50 drop down from $299, perhaps prompted by Sony’s recent reductions on PS3 hardware.
Retailers usually aren’t in the business in marking down hardware unless the manufacture sets a new price. We figure it’ll be a nationwide cut, but the jury’s still out until Microsoft makes an official announcement.
