Ready To Use PSP Development Kit

by Mike Bendel on October 29, 2007 @ 11:59 am

Homebrew developer Zx-81 has released a disk image for use with Virtual Box that includes full install of XUbuntu 7.4, complete with a pre-installed PSP SDK, as well as other compiled software such as IDE Kdevelop, GCC, and SDL.

This way, instead of waiting hours for the PSP SDK to compile, users can setup a development environment within minutes on a Windows-based PC without installing a Unix emulator such as Cygwin.

Downloads and installation instructions are available over at Zx’s site.

In order to run virtual box how much ram should I have since my old crapper only has 512 mb of ram I guess I could go pick up another 512 for 60 bucks or whatever but thats gonna have to wait anyone know I just want it for developing basically.

x3sphere says:

512MB is good enough, 1GB would probably get things running a whole lot smoother though.

Well I could reconfigure it later I'm guessing without having to reinstall if I do end up getting more ram right?
