Not only will DOTA 2 make its first public appearance at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, developer Valve is hosting a tournament dubbed The International. 16 of the best DOTA teams will enter the fray through a group stage, double elimination playoff format over the course of Cologne’s five-day trade show.

The winning team will walk away with one million dollars from Valve. Fans unable to attend Gamescom can catch a live stream of the tournament, which will broadcast in four different languages: Chinese, German, Russian, and English.

GPU maker Nvidia has teamed up with Valve to sponsor the event on the hardware side.
