Bethesda To Publish Dishonored, Nabs Top Talent

by Mike Bendel on July 7, 2011 @ 6:12 pm

Bethesda Softworks announced today that it’ll publish Arkane’s Dishonored, a first-person stealth action-adventure. Coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, the 2012-bound effort is backed by top talent, including designer Harvey Smith of Deus Ex fame and Viktor Antonov, who designed Half-Life 2′s meticulously detailed City 17 landscape.

Arkane joined Bethesda and ZeniMax in 2010, previously responsible for role-playing titles Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. This marks their first project under Bethesda’s command.

Beyond that, the announcement was light on details. Details are promised as part of a cover story in GameInformer’s August issue, which will find its way to subscribers in the coming weeks.

I'm really looking forward to it as well, mainly because it's a dedicated stealth game and the developers listed.
