Playdead’s intriguing, well-received XBLA platformer Limbo is hitting PS3 and Steam “very soon,” the developer revealed today.

Rumors spurred about a possible port earlier this week, after a listing turned up on the Korean Rating Board. No further details were spared.

An Independent Games Festival finalist, in Limbo players assume the role of a young boy in search for the whereabouts of his lost sister. Rife with deadly traps and puzzles, it features a unique art style comprised entirely of shades of grey and black, setting it apart from other genre contenders visually.

I'm glad to see this happening; I was bummed when I first found out this was exclusive because it sounds right up my alley and the artwork is sweet. I'll probably be picking it up day one.
