Treyarch Not Ruling Out Another Map Pack for Black Ops

by Mike Bendel on June 28, 2011 @ 9:39 am

The just-released Annihilation on Xbox Live may not be the final map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar dropped the tease in a recent interview with Digital Spy:

I can’t talk to anything beyond ‘Annihilation’, but keep your eyes peeled…

Treyarch delivered three map packs for its previous title, World at War. Another release would bring the total count to four. Is your wallet ready?

Urgh. I just wish Treyarch would release a Zombie game WITH A STORY THAT ISN'T IN RIDDLES and add DLC to it whenever. I'm not willing to pay £10.99 for five maps every time, and I speak for a lot of people on the internet when I say that.

Robby says:

Yet tons of people still buy the maps and they make a ton of money.

I haven't bought the second or third map pack because I thought the first one was bad besides the zombie map. I actually went back to MW2 because of Black Ops and I never thought I would.

MenaceInc says:

Never bought a DLC pack for any CoD game and never will. £11.49 for a few maps? Bugger off.

Seth says:

When you spend everyday playing black ops those maps seem very worth it.

FrozenIpaq says:

I play it almost every day with my friends and they don't see much worth in the maps, especially not when three of them are out right now and that totals up to $45

MenaceInc says:

187 maps.

For free.

Get the point?

Robby says:

If you play this game alot and want to add more maps into the mix is worth 15$. I mean, that's what, an hour and half of work more or less. Skip the fast food and you can buy them.

But with that said, the quality of the maps is the next thing. Personally, out of the 3 maps packs released for Black Ops, only the zombie maps seem to interest me. Atleast with MW2, I liked the level design and the idea of bring back old favorites.
