Ubisoft unveiled Far Cry 3 at its E3 2011 press conference, going live with the first trailer. Players assume the role of Jason Brody, a man stranded on a strange tropical island. The setting is reminiscent of the first Far Cry outing, with bright visuals surrounded by lush tropical inhabitants.

It’s due out in 2012. We’ll hopefully have a chance to go hands-on with it on the show floor.
