Metro Last Light Heading To PS3, Trailer Emerges

by Mike Bendel on May 31, 2011 @ 10:51 am

Brace yourself for a return to the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow in Metro Last Light. THQ’s announced that the title is slated for a “calendar 2012″ release on PS3, Xbox 360, PC. With the fate of humanity hanging in the balance, the plot trusts players into the midst of a civil war for control over a doomsday device.

The inclusion of a PS3 version is notable, considering its predecessor Metro 2033 only hit 360 and PC. Beyond that, THQ has whipped up an announcement trailer after the break, backed by the moody score of Portishead’s Machine Gun.

I'll prob still buy the PC version but it's nice to see the PS3 get some love this time around.

TeamOverload says:

Still never got around to the first one but would like to at some point, trailer for the second one is looking good so far.

Abe Froeman says:

I didn't really like this trailer. I'd prefer to have seen some in-game graphics as opposed to this artsy trailer.

Adiuvo says:

Same here. There are some screenshots floating around but games in motion always look drastically different than the screenshots.

x3sphere says:

Agreed. Oh well, we should get proper gameplay footage next week considering it's being shown off at E3.

x3sphere says:

There's an extended ver of the trailer up on GT, which shows in-game footage

Being a fan of the first Metro, looks really good to me.
