Pachter: Xbox 360 Sales To Surpass Wii For September

by Mike Bendel on October 15, 2007 @ 4:27 pm

Wedbush Morgan prophet Michael Pachter revealed in a recent statement that he believes the launch of Halo 3 has greatly driven Xbox 360 hardware sales for the month. Really now, who didn’t see that coming? Aside from Nintendo’s Reggie of course.

Furthermore, Pachter predicts Xbox 360 hardware sales for the month of September will surpass that of the Wii by at least 25,000 units. We’ll know for sure soon enough, when the September NPD is released later this month.

Yes xbox360 Sales are up because of Halo 3, but that doesn't mean people will continue to play the 360 AFTER their Halo 3 fix. I know people who are just getting the 360 just to play Halo nothing else, and when their done with Halo, they stop playing their 360's or play a few sports games now and then. Then again Halo may or may not go on PC anyways lol just like Halo and Halo 2 (i think only the first Halo went to PC). So there will be some that would just wait for the PC counter part instead of spending another 300-400 on the 360 when their PC's can pump out the same graphics.
