Bethesda Moves Up Brink Release Date

by Mike Bendel on April 11, 2011 @ 9:56 am

It’s not often this happens: Bethesda announced today that its class-based shooter Brink will be released a week early, hitting shelves on May 10 instead of May 17 in the US. A European release will follow on May 13.

“Production wrapped on Brink earlier than we planned and we didn’t see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready,” said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks. “It’s apparent from the tremendous reaction so far that people are eager to jump online and play, and if we can make that happen earlier – we’re going to.”

Good news indeed. Should be fun juggling this with the Gears 3 Beta and MK9.

Amidst news of delays, a launch being moved forward is always welcome.

Is anyone else interested in this for PC besides ES and I?

x3sphere says:

I'm interested, not sure if I'll pick it up at launch with The Witcher 2 and L.A. Noire right around the corner though. May is shaping up to be a busy month.
