Dungeon Siege III Delayed Into June
by April 7, 2011 @ 2:50 pm

Those eagerly awaiting to ransack the loot-filled labyrinths of Dungeon Siege III will have to wait a bit longer, as publisher Square Enix sends word that the title has been moved from its late May release window to June 21. The title, handled by Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian, features a robust RPG system with classic loot-hording gameplay.
Square Enix assures the title is in the final polish phase, it just needs extra time to work out the kinks.
“Square Enix is committed to delivering the ultimate Dungeon Siege experience,” said Mike Fischer, president and CEO of Square Enix, Inc. “Although the final polish phase has demanded a bit more time than originally planned, we want to assure fans and followers that the additional effort will allow us to deliver an action-RPG worthy of its rich heritage.”
No qualms here, we’ll take a delayed, hassle-free release over wrangling with numerous patches in the weeks to come (we’re looking at you, Fallout).
