Max Payne 3 Lives On Through New Screens

by Mike Bendel on March 30, 2011 @ 10:57 am

Max Payne 3: it’s back from the dead. After a year devoid of any new info or media, Rockstar tweeted a pair of screenshots from the gritty shooter series, originally pioneered by Alan Wake developer Remedy. Rockstar Vancouver is handling development duties on this installment.

The screens are suitably dark, in contrast to the bright setpieces that were showcased in 2009. The title has been hit with numerous delays since its initial announcement, with a release currently slated for this year.

Given that Rockstar finally decided to break the silence, let’s hope a trailer or something more substantial is on the way soon. Catch another shot after the break.

Really enjoyed the first two, but was starting to lose hope that this would ever be released. Let's hope this is a good sign *fingers crossed*
