Gallery: Resident Evil 4 HD

Following the revelation that Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica are receiving the ‘HD’ treatment on PS3 and Xbox 360, Capcom today revealed both are scheduled for release this fall in North America as a downloadable-exclusive offering. Along with visual upgrades, Capcom is adding in achievements and trophies.

As far as we can glean from the just-released screenshots, neither are a full-blown remake a la Resident Evil 1 on GameCube, but rather ports running at a higher resolution. Given how many times these titles have been rehashed we hoped for something more substantial.

If they add Move support for the PS3 and add other silly extras I'll probably pick up the game cause I'm an addict.

If it's fairly cheap, and has everything from the Wii port, I'm in.

Move support would be nice, but seeing as I don't have Move, it doesn't affect me.

looks good, just wish they'd actually do something more than up the resolution, also, looking at the RE4 screen's, they need till fall to finish over the port?!

still looking forward to the updated version of Code Veronica though, that'll probably be what justifies getting it in the fall

Code Veronica is probably what will be the main selling point of this (at least for me). Hopefully they do add in a few extras for RE4 at the very least.

Code veronica is a must buy for me, never finished it on the ps2 so looks like will get another crack at the whip - still have the ps2 copy actually somewhere.

i'm surprised they don't also port over 0-3 as well and give them a similar treatment, i'd love to play #2 on the 360 with updated graphic's as well, although perhaps they will depending on how good the sales are for these 2
