From Ys to Legend of Heroes, the JRPG aficionados at Falcom have been a staunch supporter of the PSP over the years. It looks like that relationship will continue to blossom on Sony’s next portable, tentatively known as the NGP.

Speaking to Japanese publication Dengeki PlayStation, in an interview picked up by Andriasang, Falcom CEO Toshihiro Kondo let slip that a new RPG is in the works for NGP. What’s more, is that the title is due out “close to launch.” Whether it’ll be a continuation of a familiar series or new IP is unknown at this point.
