Super Stardust HD ‘Impact’ DLC Hitting PSN This Spring

by Mike Bendel on March 22, 2011 @ 12:20 pm

Housemarque’s frantically charged shooter Super Stardust HD continues to be one of the most feature packed offerings on PSN to date, with Sony today announcing plans to extend the gameplay further with an ‘Impact’ add-on mode.

Impact equips your ship with a “experimental new matter-to-energy boost engine technology,” which allows for running on boost as long as you keep ramming into asteroids and enemies that obstruct your path.

Adding to the madness, Impact also features higher score multipliers that rise in line with boost length, which should make for some ridiculous high-score runs. No word on pricing yet.

Isn't this mode already included in the PSP version?

Nice :D

It also was my first purchase on the PS3 and I really like it, very likely getting this addon too....

Glad to see they still work on this rather old title :)

One of my favorites on PSN to this day. Just a very nice blend of the good old "Amiga" type gameplay and modern technology.

Hellcat says:

^ ^ THAT, totally THAT!

You played the Amiga Stardust too?
