EA Sports Goes Eco-Friendly, Ditches Paper Manuals

Joining the likes of Ubisoft in an environmental initiative to cut down on paper use, publisher EA has announced that all titles part of its Sport label will not include physical manuals going forward. Instead, instructions will be replaced with a digital equivalent, accessible through in-game prompts.
Of course, while pushing the eco-friendly angle, the move carries a dual benefit: saving on printing costs. Is a future where physical manuals are delegated only to Collector’s Edition-type offerings coming? It looks that way.
