Sony Dropping PSPgo To $150

If you’ve been waiting for the PSPgo to hit a budget-friendly price point, it looks like it’s happening soon. An update from Sony on the official PlayStation website shows that a $50 drop is impending, bringing the total cost of the handheld to a more palatable $150.

That’s only $30 more than the recently marked down PSP-3000, a notable decline from the $80 difference that separated both handhelds at launch, when the PSPgo was $250.

While retailers like Amazon apparently haven’t received the memo yet, it’s likely we’ll see the price adjustment roll out across retailers within the coming weeks.

So, what are some of the good reasons to buy a PSP Go?

I already have a PSP-2000 but wouldn't mind having a backup system or something of that sort. I just have not seen many 'reasons to own a GO' other than the speculation from before it was actually released.

i recently demo'd one for the first time at bestbuy. the thing that i noticed was that it is considerably smaller than the other psp models, which makes it more portable, which was basically the whole idea i think, to make it more portable.

now that there are hens & temporary cfws for it that makes it much more appealing to me personally, but im still not going to pay $150 for one. if i came across one in a pawn shop for a decent price i might buy one. anyway, being more portable is about the only thing i can think of.
