Valve Prepping New L4D2 DLC After Portal 2 Debut, Includes Remaining L4D1 Campaigns

Alongside putting the finishing touches on Portal 2, the chaps over at Valve have plans for more Left 4 Dead 2 DLC in the pipeline. In addition to including the three remaining L4D1 campaigns revamped in L4D2, the content will highlight the addition of a community-made campaign, entitled Cold Stream. It’s being created by Matthew Lourdelet, the developer behind 2 Evil Eyes.
To promote community involvement, a Cold Stream section on the official Steam forums has been opened for business, welcoming feedback and ideas for the upcoming campaign. Valve is gunning for a pure gameplay focus, meaning this DLC will be devoid of any new story elements that tie into the core L4D experience.
As far as a release date goes, it’s a moving target. A rough estimate right now is “sometime after Portal 2,” Valve Time notwithstanding.
