Halo: Reach Defiant Map Pack Coming in March

by Justin B. on February 14, 2011 @ 10:50 am

The second Halo: Reach map pack, Defiant, has been revealed today to include 3 new multiplayer maps coming sometime in March of this year. The new maps include “Condemned”, a space station supporting 6-12 players, “Highlands”, an enormous forested area for 8-16 player matches and Unearthed, a “large Titanium mine and refinery located in the Viery civilian sector of the planet” for Firefight modes.

The Bungie name is absent from this map pack and the press release indicates that a separate studio, Certain Affinity, made the new maps. Certain Affinity previously made the Tombstone and Desolation maps for Halo 2 as well as the Stadium and Discovery maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops. You can catch the trailer for all three maps above and expect to pay 800MS points when it comes out later next month.

I recognize that Certain Affinity could be huge asset in the video game market. It would be a good card to take advantage of (a good buy out).

Yay for new maps. Forested area snipers anyone?
