Paradox Interactive’s intriguing co-op fantasy romp Magicka is off to a sound start, selling through 30,000 copies across various digital distribution storefronts in less than 24 hours following its release. Currently, it also ranks no. 1 on the Steam top sellers list.

“The reception for Magicka has been better than we dared to hope, watching the numerous YouTube clips of gamers and editors worldwide laughing themselves senseless as they misfire spells left and right as well as the comments on twitter and forums show us people really get the humor and the idea behind Magicka.” said Shams Jorjani, Producer at Paradox Interactive.

“Singleplayer and LAN is what most people are currently playing but updating the multiplayer lobby and continuously improving the game is our top priority. “

Further, Paradox notes that Arrowhead Studios is committed to post-launch support. The team is actively monitoring player feedback to patch any bugs as well as gather ideas for possible content expansions. It’s always nice to see developers that take the initiative to connect with their community.
