Square Enix announced today that its oddly-named mashup brawler Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy will arrive in North America on March 22.

A PSP-exclusive, the sequel expands on the original outing with new characters, abilities, and customization options that allow for a “more strategic combat system” that blends action and RPG elements. Also featured is a robust multiplayer mode that includes communication functions and group-based battles.

Thinking about it, this will probably be the last PSP game I buy.

PR0fessor Burnt says:

Will this one have online muliplayer? Hopefully. imo that was the only downfall of the last one

KezraPlanes says:

Agreed. Maybe I'll get The 3rd Birthday and Type-0 though.

Deathrow says:

Nice to see we have some Final Fantasy fans here. This will definitely be a buy for me. Perhaps one of the greatest game on the PSP. In fact, Square Enix makes really awesome games for the PSP.

KezraPlanes says:

But forget home console Square-Enix, they suck ass. Just beat FFXIII and it's the worse Final Fantasy I've EVER played although it's not THAT bad a game.

Deathrow says:

Really? I was planning on buying it and seeing how it is. I think a lot of people have mixed emotions over FFXIII.

Versus, on the other hand, is looking really good! They have lots of new updates, including announcing FFXIII-2.

KezraPlanes says:

Well I'm not really good reviewer but take a look at this to know what to expect but be ware that there are spoilers. It's a pseudo-review I was doing on the game when I was halfway thru. I'll be writing the last past next week.

Holy crap I want this more than ever now. As a WoL main I'm going crazy over how awesome his move changes are.

slicer4ever says:

man, that looks pretty awesome, could you imagine if they made a full rpg length game with that type of combat system(although it might get a bit tedious if every little battle was like that)

KezraPlanes says:

Very damn awesome.

TeamOverload says:

Looks too similar to the first one to be honest. That being said, I'll still play it and enjoy it I'm sure.

Adiuvo says:

This person sucks ass at the game, but least he gives a good overview of Kain's moveset. His ground poke is excellent, but the way his air attacks angle make his air game similar to Rising Buckler/Shield Strike, except without the combo into Crossover. The original Dissidia demo gave the characters a crappy moveset though. Hopefully this will be the same.
