Konami Moves To Acquire Hudson

Konami is prepping a full takeover of Bomberman developer Hudson, according to an Andriasang report. Currently a majority shareholder, the move would give Konami 100% ownership of Hudson, transferring all rights to intellectual property in the process.

Through the acquisition, Konami plans to bolster its mobile offerings, an area Hudson specializes in. Konami also feels that eventual strides into the social gaming arena would benefit from the takeover. While it’s unknown how Konami will handle the brand switchover, they are considering several options, including a possible name change.
