Square Enix Makes Final Fantasy XIII-2 Official

Mixed reactions from fans aside, no one can argue that Final Fantasy XIII wasn’t a financial success, shifting more than 5 million units worldwide, heralding it as the fastest selling title in franchise history. That’s why Square Enix is releasing a follow-up, aptly dubbed Final Fantasy XIII-2.

While details remain scarce, the debut trailer indicates that heroine Lightning is returning in protagonist capacity. Take a gander above. Expect a quicker turnaround time if Square Enix sticks to its schedule: XIII-2 is due out later this year.

Actually looking forward to this but to say it will be released this year is some really far fetched optimism x3 ;) At least imo and SEs past a delay is inevitable..

On a totally unrelated note ME2 is up on the PSN..trial and full game for Plus users and just full game for everyone else..$59.99 which btw LOL since its 20 bucks on the other console now.. *goes away wondering how many peeps are trying to crack ME2 now*
