Get a Taste of One of 2011’s Most Anticipated Games Starting on January 25

Guildford, UK. January 14, 2010 – People Can Fly, Epic Games and Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced a demo for Bulletstorm, the highly anticipated new action shooter from the makers of the award-winning Gears of War and Unreal series of games. Starting on January 25, the demo will give players a taste of theguns, action and attitude Bulletstorm has to offer, with Entertainment Weekly describing Bulletstorm as “an intense, outrageous shooter,” and Seth Schiesel from the New York Times stating, “the name should say it all; big guns, lots of lead and over-the-top mayhem.”

Bulletstorm ships with three game modes: the pulp sci-fi, single-player campaign; Anarchy multiplayer mode; and Echo mode, a unique experience that tracks and compares players’ scores while they play through locations found in the campaign. The Bulletstorm demo introduces a slice of Echo mode in which players traverse a collapsed building on the deadly paradise planet Stygia as ex-Dead Echo leader Grayson Hunt. Players will utilize the “Skillshot” system in Bulletstorm as they crush enemies in increasingly creative ways to rack up points using an arsenal of powerful weapons, from a futuristic assault rifle called the Peace Maker Carbine, to the Flail Gun, which fires two grenades linked by a chain, and the Screamer, a powerful revolver that turns enemies into human fireworks.

From highest score to total number of skillshots performed , players can compete with their friends for bragging rights in Echo mode as they decimate enemies with over-the-top combat moves using some of the most innovative weapons ever seen in a first-person shooter. With more than 45 skillshots in the demo, players are encouraged to “Kill with Skill” in Bulletstorm, finding stylish and ever imaginative ways to take down anyone that stands in their way. The Bulletstorm demo also allows players to unlock platform-specific upgrades* to use in the game’s Anarchy mode, from the Crimson Leash to Stealth Armor, when they purchase the full game.

The Bulletstorm demo will be available for download January 25 on Xbox LIVE™ Marketplace Worldwide and the PlayStation®Network on January 26 in the UK. Poised to be one of 2011’s most original games, the Bulletstorm Epic Edition will be available for the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system and grant early access to the Gears of War 3 beta as well as additional bonus content in-game**.

The Bulletstorm Limited Edition will be available for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC and will also offer additional bonus content in-game**. Bulletstorm will be available on Feb. 25, 2011 in the UK. TeamOverload says:

This game has my interest peaked, so I'll definitely be giving the demo a shot.

Riorio99 says:

Basically, my post was always going to parrot TeamOverload's. And it is.

I'm looking forward to trying it out, because it looks decent, but you can never be too sure of a new IP.

FrozenIpaq says:

My only concern with the game is its re-playability. I'm fairly certain I will enjoy playing the game but with no competitive multiple outside of leaderboards I don't know how long I'll be playing it. Looking forward to getting my hands on the demo regardless. Still debating whether or not it should be a pre-order or not (for GoW 3 beta)

FrozenIpaq says:

Demo is out

TeamOverload says:

How is it? Won't be able to give it a go until the PS Store updates later.

FrozenIpaq says:

Not a huge fan actually. Finding a lot of my slide kicks or boot kicks missing and I haven't found many creative ways to kill people (most skillshots/kills I've gotten so far have been on accident). I'll have to give the demo another go when I'm done with work

TeamOverload says:

I actually found it rather enjoyable. Granted, it's hard to get a large number of creative ways to kill people off the bat, but that's what adds to the replayability, so I don't find it to be too much of a con. Overall, I'm still quite interested in the game, and will likely pick it up, albeit not right when the game comes out.

Robby says:

I loved the demo for this game. Definitely looking forward to picking it up.

Seth says:

I just found out this is going to be out the same time as killzone 3, I feel that this game might not do so hot in sales with both killzone 3 and Marvel vs capcom 3 out in the same week. Still cant wait to play it, but it not going to be a day one pick up for me

El Diablo says:

My friend just sent me this, I thought it was fucking hilarious and an amazing way to promote the game...sort of...

http://www.thedutycalls.com/ btw if you want to download it for yourselves, I'd say it's worth it.

TeamOverload says:

Saw that earlier, found it quite amusing and sadly accurate (Even though I still do love CoD).

Zero says:

BLOODY SCREEN!

So real...
