Mass Effect 2 Hitting PSN Alongside Blu-ray Release

On January 18, the long-awaited PS3 version of BioWare’s hit sci-fi epic Mass Effect 2 is jettisoning its way over to not only retail, but PSN as well. EA confirms today that the title will be sold as a digital offering.
Weighing in at around 12GB, don’t expect to save any cash on passing up the de-facto box offering, as it’ll carry the same price as its Blu-ray disc equivalent. Bit for bit, it’s identical. The only advantage, of course, is not having to insert a disc each time you play. Regardless, it’s a nice gesture from EA to give consumers a choice.
