OnLive Announces $9.99/mo Subscription Plan

OnLive, the video game streaming service, has just announced that they will be offering a $9.99 a month subscription plan. Much like Netflix’s current streaming offering for video, OnLive will allow gamers to instantly play any game on the service for one flat rate. The service will be holding a “PlayPack Beta” that will grant micro-console owners free access to the subscription benefits until January 15th. After January 15th you will have to pay $9.99 a month and can cancel it at any time.

While the current offering of games still leaves much to be desired, the service works great for those of you with a solid internet connection and I highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t already. The subscription pertains to your OnLive account so you won’t be required to own the micro-console ($99) in order to take advantage of this new plan even though the beta requires it.

I like it. It's basically Gamefly without going to the mail. Perfect price point.
