This clip, courtesy of Digital Foundry, gives a back-to-back comparison at the tech progression of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo series — all the way from its humble beginnings on the original PSOne to the here and now on PS3. It’s well worth a watch.

While it’s been a painstakingly long road to completion, there’s no question that GT5 represents a significant leap from its predecessors. Makes you wonder what Polyphony will achieve in the next 12 years.
