Splinter Cell 6 Development Well Underway

by Mike Bendel on November 26, 2010 @ 11:13 am

Back in May, Ubisoft revealed that it was working on a new Splinter Cell. Today, as part of a promotional studio tour of Ubisoft’s Toronto-based digs, producer Jade Raymond name-dropped the title as Splinter Cell 6. That’s probably tentative, but still.

What’s more, is that production is well underway, with Raymond noting that 83 people have been hired thus far. The rapid growth is expected to continue over the next decade.

“We have people working on gameplay, we have concept artists, animators, and audio directors. Within the next 10 years we expect to ramp up the studio to at least 800 people, and we’re ahead of schedule on that.”
