Ubisoft Boss Teases More Assassin’s Creed In 2011

Is Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise gearing up for another appearance next year? Comments from Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot indicate as such.

During the company’s 2010-2011 earnings call, the Ubisoft boss was pressed by investors as to whether we’d see another Assassin’s Creed installment in calendar 2011. He responded in a coy fashion, noting that “There will be something around Assassin’s — that’s all we can say.”

Last July, Ubisoft Montreal associate producer Jean-Francois Boivin went on record to say that the murderous rompĀ would likely take a breather in 2011, allotting time to freshen up the experience. Of course, that may still be true, as Guillemot’s tease gives no indication to an actual release date.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, the latest entry in the series, hits store shelves tomorrow.
