THQ Colors In February 22 Date for de Blob 2

With THQ’s technicolor delight de Blob due to receive the sequel treatment next year, today the company pinned down an official release date: February 22. While its predecessor was a Wii and DS only affair, part deux marks a series-first jump onto HD platforms. Interestingly, box art images from the official website reveal that the PS3 edition boasts support for Sony’s PlayStation Move controller.
de Blob’s premise revolves around bringing color and vibrance to once-bustling locales of a dull monochromatic world under siege by the evil Ink Corp. If the gameplay clip below is any indication, it’s one to keep an eye on, especially if you fancy lighthearted platformers. The transition to HD really makes the visuals pop.
