EA: We Haven’t Buried Mirror’s Edge

While it may be hard to believe, EA’s parkour-inspired Mirror’s Edge hit store shelves nearly two years ago. Backed by a refreshing visual flair, the title garnered favorable reviews from critics and gamers alike. So where’s the sequel?

It’s coming — when EA is ready to break the silence, that is. EA Europe prez Patrick Soderlund explains in an interview with EG:

I still think as a company we’re going to talk about it when we’re going to talk about it. What I can say is, we haven’t buried it. We’re absolutely continuing to support Mirror’s Edge as an IP. When we’re ready to talk about it, we’ll talk about it.

Soderlund’s reluctance towards sharing details is hardly surprising. It’s still early yet, obviously. At the very least, it’s reassurance that development is still chugging along.
