Black Ops A Steamworks Exclusive

Valve lands yet another coup on one of the biggest game releases of this year, sending along word today that all PC copies of Black Ops — whether digital or retail — will leverage Steamworks, just like Modern Warfare 2 before it. With Steamworks integration comes a wealth of benefits, including perks like auto-updating and achievements.

“We are delighted to be delivering the year’s most anticipated title with Black Ops to PC gamers around the world,” said Valve business development director Jason Holtman. “We’ve collaborated with the development team to leverage the Steamworks suite of services to deliver the highest level of service to Call of Duty: Black Ops PC customers.”

Slated to unlock on November 9, Black Ops is now available to pre-order from Steam for $59.99.

To be expected, seeing as MW2 did it.

Also, $59.99 USD? That's a bit more reasonable.

EDIT: Oh wait, that may be for the US. Mine shows $89.99 USD.

Andy says:

On the steam store it's £39.99 for me, I'll probably pick it up elsewhere for £5-10 cheaper.

Zero says:

Sad thing is, that price is way cheaper than the retail cost, which is about $120 AUD.
