Toy Story 3 PS2 Bundle Announced

by Mike Bendel on October 20, 2010 @ 12:00 pm

Sony’s NA division announced today that a limited edition Toy Story 3 PS2 hardware bundle is hitting the states come October 31. That’s not a typo, in case you thought otherwise.

Priced at $99, it packs a standard slimline unit and a copy of TS3. Nothing overly fancy, but it’s a nice reminder that the PS2 is still alive and kicking, even on its last leg as a platform.

Why this game? :(. Interesting move by Sony though. I'll actually think about this. I've always wanted to play Shadow of the Colossus.

Spiros says:

I think their reasoning is probably: there probably isn't a huge market left for the PS2 among serious gamers, but a mother might think about picking this up for her kid.

Lately from what I've read, Id like to play Shadow of the Colossus as well, apperantly they are going to re-release it for the PS3 in HD.

Why? Thats all I want to know. Why Toy Story 3, why the ps2, why kick a dead horse?

Hardrive says:

I honestly might pick one up for my friends here at school for some "retro" gaming... We don't have any PlayStation systems and were just talking about this the other day.

Very nice way to get some quick and easy sales out of less economically stable parents. Shut the kids up without spending too much money.
