Halo: Reach Noble Map Pack Coming Nov. 30th

by Justin B. on October 14, 2010 @ 11:35 am

Bungie’s just announced that the first DLC for their last Halo title will be hitting XBL on November 30th, bringing with it 3 all new maps and 250 more achievement points for your gamerscore. Anchor 9 is a small-scale map allowing for 2-8 players to fight amongst each other in a low orbit dry-dock, with mainly team objective and slayer gametypes.

Another map, Tempest will support 8-16 players and will be used for Big Team battle, other team gametypes and free for all. The last new map, Breakpoint, will support both Invasion and Big Team Battle games. All three maps can be had for 800 MS points, or roughly $10 on November 30th.

glad to see that they didnt make the maps packs 15 bucks.

slicer4ever says:

feels too soon, i'd rather see some forge worlds maps be added to the playlist then getting new maps

El Xando says:

I want a Pit remake :/

And just more symmetrical maps in general.

Robby says:

I knew it wouldn't be long before we saw map packs.

Not really digging the new maps though, not going to buy them.

Well this is sooner than I was expecting. Halo 2 and 3 didn't see DLC this quick did they?

PR0fessor Burnt says:

I dont think so.

FrozenIpaq says:

No, it was several months after release that we saw DLC (game would release in fall and we wouldn't see DLC until early Spring usually) It seems that most companies are including less maps overall and are shipping more later on. It seems that Halo: Reach has the least amount of maps out of the box compared to previous Halo games

Zx30 says:

Wish they could just make alot of the old maps come back. Lots of glorious ones from Halo 2 are missing and a few from Halo 3. Remakes have been attempted to be made on Forge but they don't do them justice..

Serideth says:

I see this has made it onto the Spotlight tab on the 360 now, I'll defintly be getting the map pack at some stage although I'm not sure how soon. I can see Bungie are waiting for the CoD BO hype to die down a bit before releasing it but I still think 2 weeks from now is still a bit soon.

Actually I just noticed it comes out on a day I have off work, so I probably will get it on day one.

FrozenIpaq says:

I haven't played Halo in a while and don't think I will unless some of my immediate friends pick it up either, which they most likely will not. COD has taken over my FPS addiction from Halo but I might buy the maps come winter break
