Pre-Order Dead Space 2, Get Dead Space Ignition Free

Those who pre-purchase Visceral Games’ upcoming horror-themed shooter Dead Space 2 at “participating retailers” will receive a voucher code redeemable for a free download of XBLM and PSN effort Dead Space Ignition, publisher EA sent word today.
Billed as a “game extension,” Ignition is a bite-sized prequel designed to give players a wealth of back story on the events leading up to Dead Space 2. Featured are three hacking mini-games, namely Hardware Crack, Trace Route and System Override. Offering four branching ending paths in all, the story is told through comic-paned cutscenes.
For those not set on pre-ordering Dead Space 2, expect to pony up 400 MS Points ($5) for Ignition, which hits PSN and XBLM on October 12 and October 13 respectively.
